The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of the college organized a 7-day Residential Camp with the active participation of 58 NSS volunteers and 2 faculty members. The camp was held at the adopted village of Bhangarh-Nere Village, with accommodation arranged at Shantivan. The camp aimed to promote community service, social awareness, and holistic development among volunteers through a blend of activities, learning, and engagement with rural life.

Day 1: Arrival, Planning, and Team Formation

The camp commenced with the arrival of volunteers and faculty members at the campsite. After settling in, volunteers collectively arranged their accommodation and managed essential supplies, including groceries and vegetables. To ensure smooth functioning, committees such as Food, Discipline, Cleanliness, and Cultural were formed. The day concluded with a briefing session where volunteers were introduced to camp objectives, responsibilities, and the importance of discipline and teamwork.

Day 2: Cleanliness Drive and Awareness Building

The day began with Shramdan under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, where volunteers actively participated in cleaning activities within the camp premises. A guest lecture on food adulteration followed, creating awareness about safe consumption and health hazards. Volunteers efficiently managed their committee roles throughout the day. In the evening, recreational games brought energy and enthusiasm, strengthening bonds among participants.

Day 3: Village Engagement and Learning Sessions

Shramdan activities extended to the village, where volunteers conducted a cleanliness drive, contributing to better hygiene in the locality. The afternoon featured an informative session by Mumbaikar Sir on snacks and their types, adding a practical learning dimension. Later, an engaging evening session by Raju Koli kept the volunteers motivated. Daily routines like morning exercise, cleaning duties, and group coordination continued smoothly.

Day 4: Social Sensitization and Service

This day focused on social outreach. Volunteers visited a leprosy centre at Shantivan, where they interacted with residents and offered their service, fostering empathy and compassion. A visit to an old age home further deepened their understanding of social responsibility and care for the elderly. Committee activities continued in the afternoon, followed by Shramdan work in the village during the evening.

Day 5: Awareness and Creative Expression

The day began with regular Shramdan activities. A guest lecture on technology and mental health highlighted the growing impact of digital lifestyles on emotional well-being. In the evening, volunteers performed a street play in Bhangarh village, creatively spreading awareness on social issues and effectively engaging the local community.

Day 6: Rural Exposure and Practical Learning

Volunteers visited the rural dairy in the village, gaining first-hand knowledge about dairy management and rural entrepreneurship. The experience offered insights into sustainable livelihoods and small-scale business opportunities. Volunteers also assisted villagers in their daily activities, strengthening community bonds. The evening included games and another interactive session by Raju Koli, adding enthusiasm to the day.

Day 7: Reflection and Valedictory

On the final day, volunteers completed their routine responsibilities with a sense of fulfillment.
