In alignment with the College’s Commitment to creating a safe and respectful environment for all students and staff, a Special Session on the Prevention of Sexual Harassment was organized. The event aimed to educate and sensitize students about the importance of maintaining respectful conduct and understanding the mechanisms to prevent and address sexual harassment.
The program commenced with a warm welcome by the WDC Chairperson, who extended greetings to all students, faculty members, and distinguished guests present at the event. Following this, the Principal of the college, Dr. Eknath Zhrekar, addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of fostering a safe and inclusive campus environment. He also highlighted the college’s commitment to student welfare and zero tolerance towards harassment.

The session was conducted Ms. Yvette Lee, a seasoned MES Counsellor. She delivered an insightful and comprehensive talk on the Prevention of Sexual Harassment, covering topics such as understanding harassment, legal provisions, rights and responsibilities of students, and avenues for reporting incidents. Ms. Lee’s presentation aimed to empower students with knowledge and confidence to stand against any form of harassment.
The session was highly interactive, with students engaging actively in discussions and seeking clarifications. The event successfully raised awareness among students regarding their rights and the importance of maintaining a respectful environment in the college.
