The NSS Unit of Mahatma Night Degree College of Arts and Commerce, Chembur, Mumbai, organized an HIV AIDS Awareness Poster Making Competition on 1st December 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the college campus, marking World AIDS Day. The event witnessed active participation from 94 degree college students, who creatively expressed their understanding and awareness of HIV/AIDS through impactful posters. The competition aimed to spread awareness about prevention, stigma reduction, and the importance of early testing. Dr. Harsh Shukla, the Event Coordinator, guided the smooth execution of the program. The initiative successfully engaged students and benefited around 100 individuals by promoting awareness and encouraging responsible behavior toward HIV/AIDS-related issues.

Objective of the Session

The Primary Objective of the HIV AIDS Awareness Poster Making Competition was to educate and sensitize students about HIV/AIDS, its prevention, and the importance of eliminating social stigma associated with the disease. The session aimed to encourage creative expression as a medium to spread awareness, foster empathy toward affected individuals, and promote informed and responsible health practices among students and the wider community.
