The 11 NCC Cadets of the college lead by CDT. Naitik Rankhambe, participated in the Republic Day Programme on 26th January, 2026.

Two NCC cadets piloted the Chief Guest and the Principals and Heads of Institutions of the Chembur Campus as they entered the programme area for Independence Day celebrations.

The Chief Guest, Head Mistress of Chembur English Primary School, Dr. Geeta Gunesh. hoisted the flag and the national anthem was sung.
Principal Dr. Eknath Zhrekar and other Principals and Heads of Institutions and teachers and students of Chembur campus accompanied Dr. Geeta Gunesh in saluting the national flag on Republic Day. The cadets displayed march-past and saluted the national flag. All the institutions of the Chembur campus presented patriotic events like songs, dances, speeches and skits.

Mahatma Night Degree College NCC Cadets presented 5 formations of the Human Pyramid. The cadets who participated in the human pyramid were CDT. Naitim Rankhambe, CDT. Mangesh Shelke, CDT. Rohit Sukariya, CDT. Tejal Chavan, CDT. Prathmesh Ghuge, CDT. Vikas Das and CDT. Sanjana Kamble. The formations were tall and impressive. The NCC Cadets moved briskly from one formation to another and the audience, composed of young students and teachers, were awe-struck to see such precision and bravery! Kudos to the NCC Cadets of the college!

The Chief Guest’s message was inspiring as she spoke of the glory of our country India, sacrifices made by freedom fighters and the responsibility of every citizen towards the country. Chocolates were distributed to all the participants. After the celebration in the ground floor, Dr. K.M. Vasudeven Pillai, Founder, Chairperson and CEO of Mahatma Education Society’s Pillai Group of Institutions chaired the breakfast meeting held in classroom no. 401. The Republic Day Celebrations concluded after the breakfast meeting.
