The Annual Day Programme is an important event for the cultural committee of the college. Students rehearsed for 2 and half months before the big day arrived. The theme for Annual Day 2025-26 was “A Tribute to Madhuri Dixit” The Dance Diva of Bollywood.

All the dance performances were based on dances performed by Madhuri Dixit in the yesteryear Bollywood movies. The Gen. Z students connected with this veteran dance diva for the first time and enjoyed the songs and dance performances by Madhuri Dixit. It was a pleasure to see the young students reverse dances and reignite the magic of Madhuri. Choreographer Mr. Sachin Sarvagod and Cultural Committee Incharge Prof. Dr. Lata Krishnan facilitated the preparations for the grand annual day.

The participants reported to the Fine Arts Society auditorium at 3.30pm sharp. Students were given entry passes with wich they entered the Fine Arts Auditorium. The Cultural Incharge Prof. Dr. Lata Krishnan gathered the performers and addressed them in the green room. The sequence of events – programme was shared with the volunteers and they got busy getting the students dressed and ready for the performances.

The participants got ready and sat in the hall to enjoy watching the juniors perform. After the Night Junior College students performances the Night Degree students lined up for their acts. An impressive digital stage banner created by Sachin Dhaliya and Ashish Dhaliya of S.Y.B.Com. was put up as the stage banner and every performance had a series of Madhuri Dixit dance pictures streamed in the backdrop while the students performed on stage. This made the act impressive and the audience thoroughly appreciated each and every performance put up by the Night Degree College students. The string of events was a mixed bag consisting of singing, duet dance, group dance, solo dance and mimicry. The audience appreciated all the performances and clapped and whistled in ecstasy, enjoying the dance grooves of the Magnificent Madhuri Dixit presented to perfection, by the students! Kudos to choreographer Mr. Sachin Sarvagod for his efforts! The hosts of the event were Pratap Dabariya, Gayatri and Khushboo of T.Y.B.Com. and Sachin Dhaliya of S.Y.B.Com. and Ashish Kanojia of F.Y.B.Com. They were good hosts as they kept the audience excited with a sprinkle of jokes and trivia now and then. Ashish Dhaliya proposed the formal vote of thanks. A group photo of the participants with the teaching and non-teaching staff was taken. The event ended with the national anthem.The participants were given snack boxes as they exited the auditorium gate.

73 students participated on stage and 10 students supported backstage for the annual day programme.

The Annual Day Programme is an important event for the cultural committee of the college. Students rehearsed for 2 months before the big day arrived. There was one dance set up by the F.Y.B.Com. class, one dance by the S.Y.B.Com. class and 3 dances by a mixed group of F.Y.B.Com., S.Y.B.Com., T.Y.B.Com. and M.Com. students. One Qawwali performance, one solo singing and one mimicry performance.

The participants reported to the Fine Arts Society auditorium at 8.00 am sharp. The Cultural Incharge Dr. Lata Krishnan gathered the performers and addressed them in the green room. The sequence of events – programme was shared with the volunteers and they got busy getting the students dressed and ready for the performances.

The theme for Annual Day was “Festivals of India” The festivals selected by student groups to represent were, Ganesha Festival, Holi, Christmas, Narial Purnima, Pongal, Ambedkar Jayanti, Hanuman Jayanti and New Year’s Eve.

After the Night Junior College students performances the Night Degree students lined up for their acts. An impressive stage banner was put up and every performance had a series of pictures streamed in the backdrop while the students performed on stage. This made the act impressive and the audience thoroughly appreciated each and every performance put up by the Night Degree College students. The hosts of the event were Pratham of T.Y.B.Com. and Gayatri of S.Y.B.Com. They were good hosts as they kept the audience excited with a sprinkle of jokes and trivia now and then. Mahatma Night Degree College of Arts and Commerce celebrated its annual day after a gap of 3 year due to Covid-19 pandemic at Fine Arts Auditorium on 23rd December, 2022 between 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The environment was filled with zest and zeal as the event was happening after 3 years and students groups were eager to perform. Every student was given entry pass to enter the auditorium. There was a tight security at the entrance of the auditorium and the teaching staff themselves were checking the passes and I – Cards of the students. The program started at 4 p.m. with the performance of the Junior College dance groups. There were 7 solo and group dances performed by the Junior College students. Thereafter the Degree College performances started with devotional folk songs. This was followed by many super group dances and solo dances. Students were enjoying the performance as they started dancing at their respective places and boosting the moral of the dance groups. The host of the programs also entertained the students. The live streaming of the program was done on the official Facebook page of the Mahatma Night Degree College of Arts and Commerce. Mahatma Night Degree College of Arts and Commerce joyously celebrated its annual day at the enchanting Fine Arts Auditorium on 22nd December, 2023, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The atmosphere was brimming with enthusiasm and excitement, with student groups eagerly awaiting their turn to showcase their talents. To gain entry to the auditorium, each student was provided with an entry pass, and a rigorous security check, led by the teaching staff, ensured a smooth and secure entrance.

The event kicked off at 4 p.m. with an enthralling performance by the junior college dance groups. The stage was graced with both solo and group dances, showcasing the remarkable skills and creativity of the junior college students. The atmosphere was electric, with students fully engaged in the performances, dancing at their seats and uplifting the spirits of the talented performers.

As the program unfolded, the anchors from Mahatma Night Degree College assumed control, steering the event with grace. The festivities commenced with a devotional aarti, setting a spiritual tone for the evening. The audience was treated to a series of mesmerizing super group dances and solo performances, each act met with cheers and applause. The hosts added to the entertainment, ensuring the students were thoroughly engaged throughout the event.

The grand celebration reached its climax at 6:30 p.m., and Mr. Venkatesh Yadav delivered the official vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the event. Following the program, students gathered for group photographs, capturing the memories of this spectacular evening.

Mahatma Night Degree College’s annual day not only showcased the talents of its students but also fostered a sense of unity and joy among the college community. The event was a testament to the vibrant spirit of the institution and the boundless creativity within its student body.

Brief Report of ProgramMahatma Night Degree College of Arts & Commerce celebrated its annual day on 17th December, 2019 at Fine Arts Auditorium between 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. There was a tight security on the entrance of fine arts auditorium and individual passes where scrutinized by the auditorium security personals. Principal Dr. Padma Rangan herself was monitoring the situation at the ground floor. The program started sharp at 9 a.m. The first half and hour was allotted to Mahatma Day Junior College. Their program had three dance performances. Mahatma Day Junior College felicitated their topper after their last performance. Thereafter, Mahatma Night Junior and Degree College performance started with full flow as the anchors of the event took charge of the stage. There were some group dance, solo performance and instrumental performances. The anchors cracked humorous jokes in between to entertain the audience. Students were enjoying the event as it was difficult to stop them from dancing during the program. The program concluded with vote of thanks at 10.50 a.m. and all the participants and teaching staff assembled for the group photo.

Annual Day 2018-19

Annual Day of Mahatma Night Degree College was held on 19th December, 2018 at Fine Arts Hall, Chembur. The annual day program started at 5 p.m. with Ganpati Vandana Dance performed by Divya Ambire. This year night Degree college selected a unique theme of Dance of different states. Students performed daces of the states of Maharashtra, Bengal, Gujarat, Jammu Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh and Tamilnadu. After the dance performance of states funny dance was performed by Deepak Mourya and group. Students enjoyed the dance performance of the night degree students and they also started dancing in between. The final performance was given by F.Y.B.Com. students. The entire program was anchored by T.Y.B.Com. students of Wajid Ali and Sheetal Dasri. The program was over by 6 p.m. and formal vote of thanks was proposed by Taruna Patel Madam. Group Photos were taken at the end of the program.
