The NSS Unit of Mahatma Night Degree College of Arts and Commerce, Chembur, Successfully organized a Blood Donation Camp in collaboration with Shree Sai Blood Bank on 17th September. The camp was conducted from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with active participation from NSS volunteers and donors.
A total of 90 volunteers participated in the camp, contributing enthusiastically to the noble cause. Through their collective efforts, 39 units of blood were successfully donated. The event was well-organized and carried out under proper medical supervision by the team from Shree Sai Blood Bank, ensuring safety and hygiene throughout the process.
The primary objective of the camp was to create awareness about the importance of blood donation and to encourage people to contribute towards saving lives. The initiative helped in spreading awareness among students and the local community about the critical need for blood in medical emergencies.
The camp also instilled a sense of social responsibility and humanitarian values among the volunteers. The NSS Unit ensured smooth coordination, registration of donors, and assistance throughout the donation process.
Overall, the Blood Donation Camp was a successful and impactful initiative, reflecting the spirit of service and commitment of the NSS volunteers towards society.
