On 15th August 2025 all the institutions of Mahatma Education Society’s Chembur campus gathered in the Ground Floor Multipurpose hall to jointly celebrate Independence Day.

One student of the college participated in the event – Patriotic Singing. 13 NCC cadets of the college also participated in the Independence Day programme, piloting and march-past.

The NCC cadets piloted the chief guest Ms. Daisy, senior teacher of the Chembur English Primary School and all the Principals and Heads of institutions to the programme area. The march past was conducted immediately after the flag hoisting.

Student groups from all the institutions of the Chembur campus presented patriotic events like songs, dances, speeches and skits. Our S.Y.B.Com. student Aman Kesarwani sang a patriotic song, “Sandeshe Aaten Hain, Hamen Tadpate hai…” from the movie Border. His rendition was melodious and the audience appreciated and clapped for his performance.

After the programmes a group photo was taken of all the teachers of Mahatma Night Degree College along with Principal Dr. Eknath Zhrekar. A group photo along with the NCC cadets of the college was also taken.

Chocolates were distributed to all the participants. Dr. K.M. Vasudeven Pillai, Founder, Chairperson and CEO of Mahatma Education Society’s Pillai Group of Institutions chaired the breakfast meeting held in classroom no. 401. The event ended after the breakfast meeting.
