The NSS Unit of Mahatma Night Degree College of Arts and Commerce, Chembur, organised a Voter Awareness Drive on 14th January 2026 at Sidharth Colony and Thakkar Bappa Colony. The program was conducted from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in view of the BMC Elections scheduled to be held on 15th January 2026.

The main objective of the drive was to create awareness among citizens about the importance of voting and to encourage maximum participation in the democratic process. NSS volunteers actively engaged with the local residents, spreading awareness about the significance of casting their vote responsibly.

During the drive, volunteers conducted door-to-door interactions, distributed informative materials, and educated people about their voting rights and duties. They emphasized the importance of participating in the upcoming BMC elections and motivated citizens to exercise their franchise without fear or hesitation.

The activity received a positive response from the local community, with many residents appreciating the efforts of the NSS volunteers. The drive successfully highlighted the importance of informed and active participation in elections.
